Local Popularity Contest. Thanks...?

Creative Loafing published their yearly "best of" this week. Congrats to The Selmanaires for winning best local band as voted by the Creative Loafing readers. Noot d' Noot won the critics pick as best new band. And Anna Kramer and the Lost Cause won critics pick for best country band, I suspect the critic in question is Chad Radford, thanks man. Hey, maybe International Hits isn't so bad after all. I would really like to see Henry and his Chunklet army create a local best of. I have a feeling that would be worth the read.
If anybody is actually reading this I say "thanks". Long live the glorious struggle to undermine indie blah, blah, blah.......

New Pardner Songs

Our old and dear friends, Pardner; a self-described "crock-pot of country rock crack-pots" have posted a really great dub inspired live track from their recent mind-blowing show at the Star Bar in Little 5 Points. This annual Labor Day show, now in it's 16th year is the highlight of the iHits social calendar. Also available for your ears are three songs they recently recorded with Atlanta production maestro Tim DeLaney. Check out "Gray Goose Live" - and the studio trackes,
"The Night That Pardner Hired the Bar", "Teenage Girls at the Bullfrog Bar", and "Pardner Cove".
